Life’s been pretty tough lately & well rather busy so I thought to combat the bad feelings it was time to focus on the things making me happy instead. Sometimes you’ve just got to ride out the bad while focusing on the good. So here’s 5 things that are making me happy right now…
Spending time with family
I’m not usually a family orientated person. I’m pretty much a hermit who enjoys her own space & company but recently I’ve been spending a lot of time with Jacob’s mum (Eleanor) & it’s been lovely. As much as I love spending time at home with our little man it’s been nice to have adult conversation & support. Being a new mum is tough so it’s nice to spend time with someone who isn’t overbearing & just wants to spend time with you too.
Halloween decor coming to stores
It’s nearly spooky season guys & I am sooooo excited. I love tacky halloween decor & I love the classier decor even better. I can’t wait to purchase some new home decor bits & also decorate our house spooky. Who doesn’t love halloween????????
Baby learning new skills
Having a baby is pretty weird because they do all these new things that slightly scare you cause you know it means they are getting older by the second. Our little one is determined to thrash his head around & basically catapult himself from one side of you to the other. He is 9 weeks guys & he is already causing trouble. It’s the little things like him now being able to focus on you & the fact he now has a new noise to try & communicate.
Getting creative again
When I was pregnant I was getting all these crafty vibes so I started planning a few projects. Now my brain is recovered (dare I say it??) from baby brain & I have a little more routine to my day I am going to start getting creative again. I’m excited to learn some new skills & do something for me.
Mini days out
Maternity leave is wonderful in the sense you have a lot of free time. Most of that free time is feeding a baby or pumping bottles for the baby but you do get the odd few hours. I am enjoying having days out; going for coffee, popping down the beach or staying down the caravan. It’s nice to know I can do things without worrying about squeezing them in around my 9-5.

First off, I really like the look of your blog! I was in Michaels at the other day and got really excited when I saw the Halloween decor🎃💀 Congratulations on the baby, it’s such a huge life accomplishment! I agree after being stuck in the house for a while it’s nice to get out and do little things like going to the coffee shop. Such an inspiring list, thanks so much for sharing💖

Thank you hun! I can’t wait to do a big old halloween haul.
So glad you enjoyed my post 🖤
Thank you for you wonderful kind words and special thanks for making scrumptious dinners. You are a great mum and should be very proud of yourself. Love and hugs Eleanor 😊
Someone’s gotta feed you! Thankyou!!
It’s great to focus on the positives. I’m excited for fall and definitely relate to getting creative again and baby learning new skills. My little one is now 14 weeks, it’s fun to see all the new things he’s mastering. Stay fabulous beauty!
