Glossier First Impressions | A Mini Haul

This post contains affiliate links marked by *glossier first impressions - glossier milk jelly cleanser, glossier stretch concealer, glossier balm DotcomOkay I am fully aware every beauty blogger has at some point talked about Glossier but when they had their pop up in London I thought it was about time I try them out. Yes I fell for the hype but hey I don’t regret it one bit. Luckily because everyone has blogged about it I was able to work out what products I really wanted to try so here’s my take on the hype in the form of my Glossier first impressions!

First things first…what did I buy?

Okay I have to admit the one thing that drew me into the brand was the *balm dotcom products. I had seen them everywhere & well I really wanted to try the mango one but if you buy three its discounted so I choose the birthday one too & bought my friend the mint one.

The other hype product I wanted to try out was the *milk jelly cleanser which is pretty much one of those cult products. I wasn’t too sure if it’d be for me cause I already have a few cleansers I love so I opted for the tester size.

Finally the one beauty product I needed to add to my collection was a concealer & I have heard sooooooo many good things about the *Glossier stretch one so I had to buy it. Plus cause I was in store I could get colour matched so it was perfect timing.

So what do I think about the products a month in?

I never really do a review so early on (I know you’re still waiting on the milk one… it’s coming I promise) but I’ve actually used the products a lot so please bare in mind this is a glossier first impressions rather than a full review. That will come later!

Clearly the products have grabbed my attention & I can quite happily say the hype is well deserved. Not only is the packaging beautiful but the formulas are divine & my skin likes them too.

Kicking off with the balm dotcom which one of those products I didn’t think I’d use as much as I do. It’s one of those products you tend to keep in your handbag (or changing bag) to just use on the go. It has quite a thick consistency so it’s not your usual lip balm. It applies really nicely, smells lush, tastes lush & definitely moisturises your lips. I would say a little goes a long way so don’t over apply. I prefer the mango to the birthday just cause it’s more me. I know its a multi use product but I probably wouldn’t use this on my cuticles like I would my pawpaw balm just cause its “flavoured” & stickier.

On to the milk jelly cleanser which is so worth its hype. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much but it has become my daily go to. It’s just really lightweight & refreshing for the skin. It just leaves my skin feeling clean & smooth. I tend to use it when I haven’t worn makeup cause I feel like it would be more of a second cleanser & I’m not so keen on the smell. Overall I’ll probably end up replacing this with the full size very soon.

Last up is my absolute fav which is the stretch concealer. I am not much of a concealer person which is terrible I know so I really needed to add one. Honestly I mainly use this concealer all over as my base. Surprisingly a little goes a really long way even though the tub is quite small  & the product really blends easily. I tend to use a small beauty blender to warm it up & apply to the skin then just blend out & apply any extra touches with my fingers. I have also used it as a base under my foundation when I want a little more coverage.

So there’s my quick glossier first impressions & well it has got me thinking about their other products so send recommendations my way! I’d love to know if you’ve fallen for the hype & if so what’s your favourite glossier product?
